Declines in Cognitive-Ability Scores: A Negative Flynn Effect?

Abstract

This study considered secular changes in cognitive abilities over recent decades in the United States. It appears that in the last five years, a negative Flynn effect has taken place and is fairly general across abilities. In previous years, changes were mostly positive but varied widely across different abilities.
