Abstract

An exploratory correlational study was conducted to examine the relationship between reading comprehension, vocabulary, and attention control in healthy young adults. Both vocabulary and attention control were strong predictors of comprehension, as measured by the GRE. Individual differences in reading comprehension are therefore both domain-general and domain-specific.
