Simulating Emotion Perception: An Interactive Activation Model

Increasing evidence points to malleability of emotion perception: emotions read out from facial configurations are not decoded independently of context. Rather, contextual variables influence emotion perception. Making use of the informational processing principles from the parallel distributed processing framework, we developed a computational model of emotion perception.
