Abstract

Logistic regressions using a nationally representative sample demonstrated that having higher education was associated with lower likelihood of endorsing fatalistic beliefs about cancer. Racial minorities were more likely to feel like cancer is unpreventable. Furthermore, younger people and internet health information-seekers may be less knowledgeable about causes of cancer.
