The Role of Perceived Peer Support in Women in STEM

Abstract
Given the many obstacles that women face in STEM, this work explores whether social support from female peers buffers women against negative outcomes associated with these barriers. We find that greater social support is associated with positive outcomes such as sense of belonging and motivation in women in STEM fields.
