Abstract

The current study explored the relationship between silencing the self, existential well-being, and rumination among female Indian participants in Mumbai. These data suggest that inhibition of self-expression and action may predict increased rumination and lower existential well-being. Elevations in existential well-being may ameliorate the effects of self-silencing on rumination.
