Abstract

Though childhood trauma is suggested to lead to residual processes like negatively-biased attention, this relation has primarily been examined in PTSD. In examining a depressed sample, sexual abuse and physical neglect were negatively associated with biases away from negative stimuli, while emotional neglect was associated with biases towards negative stimuli.
