Abstract

The current study explored visual scanning patterns in a standard framing task. Elements of the task were found to increase visual scanning, however patterns were unrelated to choice. Overall, participants preferred the gamble, contrary to previous reports. This suggests errors in our stimuli or that scanning is unrelated to deliberation.
