Abstract

The Tripartite Model of Anxiety and Depression posits that anxious arousal (AA) is predicted by negative affect (NA) and physiological hyperarousal (PHA). Using experience sampling data, NA and PHA predicted mean-level, autocorrelation, and variance of AA. Results suggest a need for further investigation into the time-series modeling of AA.
