Abstract

We tested whether researchers’ political cues affect responses in political surveys. Online participants completed political attitudes scales under a randomly assigned political banner, signaling political figures or values. Results mostly show no significant differences among conditions, nor interaction effects with ideology; yet data suggest that Clinton primes reduced sexism.
