Abstract

Research shows parents with anxiety are more critical of their children’s behaviors. This study investigated the correlation for parental anxiety and behavior endorsement on parallel forms of a behavior checklist. Regression analyses showed a discrepancy in parent-child reporting of externalizing behavior when the parent had anxiety. Implications will be discussed.
