Effects of Concussion History and Athlete Status on Substance Use

Abstract
The effects of concussion history on substance use in athletes and non-athletes were examined. Results indicated those with history of concussion reported significantly greater alcohol use than those without concussion. Number of concussions was significantly correlated with alcohol use. No effects were indicated related to athlete status or marijuana use.
