Abstract
This study examined patterns of negative affect among people who inject drugs using ecological momentary assessment. Negative affect was associated with baseline depression and borderline personality disorder (BPD) symptoms, and difficulties with emotion regulation. The association between negative affect and BPD symptoms was attenuated when controlling for emotion dysregulation.
