Interactive Effects of Emotional Insecurity and Parental Attachment in Predicting Late Adolescents’ Perfectionism

Abstract

The study examined how emotional insecurities interacts with parental attachment in predicting perfectionism among 404 late adolescents. Participants completed online surveys and results showed that emotional insecurity predicted parental attachment, which in turn predicted perfectionism. Moreover, interactive effect between emotional insecurity and parental attachment was found in predicting perfectionism.
