Abstract
Utilizing Virtual Reality technology the experimenter was able to successfully give the perceived experience of being in another person’s body. The flinch response is an automatic reaction one has to avoid aversive stimuli to protect one’s body. The majority of participants flinched when they experienced being fired upon.
