Abstract
We examined the effects of a cognitive dissonance-based eating disorders prevention intervention on weight stigma in body-dissatisfied women (N=76) by comparing pre-and-post self-reported weight stigma between an intervention group and a waitlist control group. External weight stigma was significantly reduced in the intervention group, but not in the waitlist group.
