Abstract

We examined the effects of priming, religiosity, generativity, and guilt on prosocial behavior. Participants were primed with religious, selfish, or neutral words using LDT and given the opportunity to donate to a crowdfunding site. We found significant correlations between generativity, guilt and religiosity; however, no factors reliably predicted donation amount.
