Abstract
Tracking software was used to examine the relationship between computer use in the classroom and exam scores. Computer use was classified as either related to the course or unrelated and we found that course-related use, specifically viewing lecture slides, predicted class achievement. Thus, class-related laptop use may benefit student learning.
