Abstract
Many foster youth have low educational attainment. This study examined formal mentors' life goals for their foster care youth. The two most frequently articulated life goals were educational and developmental life goals. The latter focused on autonomy, socio-emotional, and physical and mental health challenges that may impede youths' educational attainment.
