Sleep Difficulties and Effortful Control in Children of Alcoholics and Controls

We examined the relationship between sleep difficulties and effortful control. Participants were 209 children (53% girls; mean age=10.21(1.41)). Structural equation modeling analyses showed that parental ratings of sleep difficulties and sleep onset latency as measured by actigraphy were associated lower effortful control.
