Abstract

Using a longitudinal study design, we examined the relations between attachment, maternal distress, adolescent behavioral problems and allostatic load, an indicator of chronic physiological stress. Results suggest main effects of attachment for behavioral problems, and main effect of maternal distress on allostatic load.
