Abstract

This investigation examined associations between perceptions of difficulty, judgments of learning, and strategy choices in the context of interleaved versus blocked study. Results offer direct evidence that perceived difficulty during study leads learners to view a study strategy as less effective and, in turn, choose it less for future study.
