Abstract
Across three studies (N = 1203), we examined how beliefs about the heritability of virtue relate to judgments about parents’ ability to influence children’s moral development and about what constitutes “good” parenting. Results have implications for understanding how heritability beliefs, irrespective of their accuracy, might shape parenting and child development.
