Learning from a Google Search Vs Learning from a Powerpoint

Abstract

Participants received the same lesson in PowerPoint or in a Google search. Results showed no advantage for the Google environment. This may be due to the failure of the Google environment to induce a sense of autonomy in the participants, as they received instructions from the experimenter minimizing personal control.
