Abstract

Belief in occurrence plays a central role in remembering and forecasting autobiographical events. We developed parallel measures of belief in occurrence for past and future events in two studies (N=664; N=323). The measures showed strong and comparable model fit across event cues, temporal orientation, and language of administration (English/French).
