Abstract

A structural mediation model was proposed with gender role salience predicting sexism and attitudes toward gay men and lesbians. The model yielded a good fit accounting for 40% of the variance in sexism and 75% of the variance in attitudes toward gay men and lesbians. Full mediation was observed.
