Abstract

The current study examined the influence of adaptive and maladaptive coping styles, particularly positive and negative religious coping (PRC; NRC), on levels of posttraumatic growth and distress following an unwanted sexual experience. The study found that positive religious coping promotes positive outcomes, whereas negative religious coping promotes negative outcomes.
