Abstract

The present study depicts a more nuanced examination of physiological indicators of maternal emotion dysregulation and parent-child interactions. Specifically, we show that maternal emotion dysregulation is associated with lower initial levels but increasing trajectories of heart rate variability, a physiological index of emotion regulation, across a stressful parent-child interaction task.
