A Thousand Cuts: Racial Microaggressions Are Related to Lower Self-Image over Time

Abstract
This longitudinal study is one of the first to show that experiencing racial microaggressions is related to college student outcomes over time. College students completed surveys and used a mobile app to report their experiences with microaggressions, which were negatively associated with self-esteem and feelings of competence six months later.
