Binding and Individualizing Moral Foundations Show Different Associations with Family Environment Dimensions

Abstract
The binding moralities of Authority, Loyalty and Purity are associated with family cohesion, organization and moral emphasis. The individualizing moralities of Care is associated with family cohesion and moral emphasis, but not organization, and Fairness is associated with family intellectual orientation, lower achievement orientation and less conflict.
