Abstract

Two studies document interactions between Black criminal stereotype endorsement and victim stereotypicality when predicting victim blame attributions. There was no impact of victim stereotypicality on victim blame for low stereotype endorses, but for high stereotype endorsers, greater blame was attributed to the stereotypical victim relative to the counterstereotypical victim.
