Abstract

In a sample of 550 adolescent girls, we used diagnoses that were active at baseline and that remitted (lifetime), and baseline personality traits, to prospectively predict 18-months psychiatric disorder incidences. Logistic regression analyses indicated that personality captured all information contained in lifetime psychiatric history that predicts future mental illness.
