Abstract

The Values in Action Inventory of Strengths (VIA-IS) measures 24 strengths that are ranked on individualized feedback reports. This study investigated whether attention to higher or lower ranked strengths predicts immediate reactions after viewing the VIA-IS report. Results indicate that greater attention to higher strengths predicts greater state self-esteem.
