Debias Human Judgment with a Common Decision Bias: An Experimental Study of the Anchoring Effect in Hiring Decision-Making

Abstract
We examined the effectiveness of applying the anchoring effect to improve human judgment. Results showed that providing human judges with predictions from an external source as a decision aid improved the consistency but not accuracy of their judgments.
