Examining Future Orientation As a Moderator of Links between Adolescents’ Trauma Exposure, Delinquency, and PTSD Symptoms

The purpose of this study was to determine whether a hopeful future orientation (FO) has a protective effect for adolescents who have experienced trauma. Adolescent FO moderated the relation between level of trauma exposure and delinquent behaviors, though it did not moderate the relation between trauma experiences and PTSD symptoms.
