Emotional and Behavioral Motivation in Response to Organ Donation Health Messages

Abstract

A study of US participants (n = 103) assessed emotional and motivational responses to an organ donation public health message. Feeling guilty predicted greater intentions to register in the future, supporting the reparative motivation of guilt. Investment in body intactness predicted emotional but not behavioral responses.
