Abstract

This research explored the relationship between task persistence and three self-report measures including the Multidimensional Work Ethic Profile (MWEP), Behavioral Activation/Inhibition Scales (BIS/BAS), and Grit. Although unable to predict task persistence for the 82 participants, the MWEP was strongly related to BIS/BAS (p<.01 for all seven MWEP subscales) and Grit.
