Abstract

Associative priming was used to determine whether marijuana-related primes affect the identification of high- and low-fat/calorie, sweet and salty foods. Marijuana was believed to increase appetite and promote unhealthy food choices. Priming data showed that marijuana primes selectively interfered with the ability to judge the healthfulness of salty foods.
