Abstract
Two studies examined whether members of the public perceived patients with non-traditional caregivers (i.e. former spouses) as being less suitable for organ transplant than those with traditional caregivers (i.e. spouses). Results suggest that patients with non-traditional caregivers are perceived less favorably and are not as strongly recommended for transplant.
