Comparing Self-Report and Behavioral Data in an Emotional Stroop Task

Abstract

In the current study, we examined whether self-reported personal use, valence, and arousal of words correlated with behavioral data. We found significant correlations between the self-reported data and the reaction times to these words in an emotional Stroop task (e.g., less arousing words resulted in longer reaction times).
