Abstract
We examined relationships among students’ media use, multitasking, reading fluency, GPA, and SAT-Verbal scores. Media use and multitasking were not related to reading or SAT scores, but frequent media use and high multitasking preference predicted lower GPA. Reading might not be impaired by media multitasking unless there is concurrent interruption.
