Abstract
Autobiographical narratives, gender differences, and well-being were examined in 92 HBCU undergraduates. Gender differences were strongly supported; there was partial support for the relation between participants with more elaborated, emotional, and connected narratives having more developed ego identity, higher self-esteem, internal locus of control, and greater family history knowledge.
