A Multilevel Model of the Association between Implicit Happiness, Implicit Sadness, and Explicit Fear of Happiness

Abstract
We examined the relationship between happiness attributions, compared to sadness attributions, on an implicit measure and self-reported fear of happiness via multilevel modeling. Happiness attributions, but not sadness attributions, were associated with explicit fear of happiness, suggesting reduced motivational salience for happiness is associated with self-reported fear of happiness.
