Abstract
We developed a consolidated helicopter parenting (HP) scale from five existing measures, which we used to examine the relationship between HP and mindset. When emerging adults reported that their fathers’ viewed failure negatively, they engaged in more HP behaviors, and their children were more likely to have a fixed mindset.
