Children’s Subjective Socioeconomic Status Predicts Wellbeing and Their Perspective on Income Inequality

Abstract
The unequal economic distribution within the United States includes many children living in low income families and neighborhoods. In this mixed method study with fourth and sixth grade students, findings suggest that measures of children’s wellbeing and subjective economic status are linked to their perspective about unequal resources.
