Does General Maximizing Relate to Career Maximizing? Evaluating a Career Maximizing Scale

We developed and evaluated a career maximizing scale across 2 studies. Using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, we derived a 10-item scale (α = .88) with adequate fit. Initial validity evidence suggests that while career maximizing overlaps with general maximizing, they appear to be distinct constructs.
