Using Network Analysis to Understand the Thinking Dispositions Underlying Analytic Thinking

Several thinking dispositions are associated with analytic thinking (AT). This study examined the relation among an influential subset of them (Need for Cognition, Closure; Ambiguity Tolerance; Epistemic Curiosity), and their relation with AT, using state of the art network analysis. Non-nuanced, categorical thought emerged as the dominant factor obstructing AT.
