Abstract
Person-centered analyses revealed profiles of characteristics possessed by academically entitled students. Undergraduates with moderate to high AE exhibited characteristics implicating AE as a maladaptive coping strategy (e.g., extreme pressure to achieve, fear of failure, low self-esteem). Results prompt modifications to extant theory and inform brief, low-cost interventions to reduce AE.
