Abstract

This study examined the relationships among age, cognitive functioning, and brain structure and functioning. We tested a brain-mediating model in 156 healthy participants by examining whether multimodal brain variables mediated age-related decline in cognitive control function. The result showed that only stopping ability was mediated by specific brain markers.
