Abstract

Previous research has shown that making eye movements during aversive memory recall, a procedure often applied in the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder, reduces self-reported memory vividness and emotionality. We demonstrated that this procedure also affects objective memory performance, i.e, reduces memory accuracy, which may be relevant in legal contexts.
